The DIT eLearning Summer School has been running very successfully since 2003. It is an annual event, running in June each year. From 2003 to 2009 it was primarily for DIT staff although colleagues from national and international third level institutions were also welcomed.
2010 saw a new departure for the Summer School and one we hope will continue into the future. This year's event, rebranded the "Dublin eLearning Summer School",
was a joint effort by the members of the Dublin Region Higher Education Alliance (DRHEA) and featured contributions from colleagues from all member institutions.
Participants deemed it a hugely enjoyable and worthwhile week, with feedback comments such as "an excellent and stimulating week", "I am enthused" and "it was a privilege to attend". The Summer School was attended by over forty staff members from the various DRHEA institutions and all of those who provided survey feedback said it was a worthwhile week and one which they would recommend to a colleague.
