Overview

Effective assessment and feedback is a vital element of any module, and this workshop explores the role technology could play in the assessment process. eAssessment has been explained as “a rich tapestry of possibilities that allows us to evidence student learning in a much deeper and often more authentic way than has been possible with traditional paperbased assessments where students have been expected to use limited resources to respond to tasks”, but what does this really mean? What is ‘eAssessment’ exactly? What types of authentic eAssessments could you set for your students. And what issues would you need to consider as you design eAssessments?
