Mobile Learning with Webcourses

Overview

Mobile learning can be defined as "the exploitation of ubiquitous handheld technologies, together with wireless and mobile phone networks, to facilitate, support, enhance and extend the reach of teaching and learning" (see http://bit.ly/12RmtlG )

DIT staff and students can now fully engage with mobile learning through webcourses, using the Blackboard Mobile Learn app, available from the Apple App store or Google Play.

Very many DIT students now carry a smart phone, iPad, tablet or other mobile device. The Blackboard Mobile Learn app allows them to access essential content and announcements while on the bus, in the park or on the street. If you would like to facilitate the use of mobile devices, this workshop is for you.
